My Personal Fundraising Page

Throughout junior high school and high school, I volunteered as a buddy for SPICE (Special People’s Ice skating Experience. SPICE is NSSRA’s longest running program. A few years ago, I reconnected with NSSRA and became the skating coach for SPICE and a board member on NSSRA’s Associate Board. It is truly a special organization that does impactful work every day to provide people with disabilities a place to grow, play, and belong.

A Place to Belong: Building a Permanent Home for NSSRA (Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association) will provide a brand new space for participants, their families, and staff members to enjoy for years to come.

So after a six year search, NSSRA purchased a former synagogue in Highland Park last year and embarked on a capital campaign to fund the building renovations that will include a large lounge, teaching kitchen, great room for dances, fitness and art rooms, and so much more for the participants to enjoy. It's very exciting, especially since there is not any programming space in the current building.

Proudly, nearly $2M of the $2.2M goal has been raised to-date through private donations and now it's time to bring the campaign to as many people as possible to help get across the finish line and start the renovation process. Please consider a contribution of any size to help make it happen.

Thank you in advance for considering a gift to this important cause!
