“After I entered foster care at age 13 and had to transfer to five different high schools, it was difficult to imagine graduating from high school. Adults were not always reliable, and I was fearful I would not have support. Surprisingly, people stepped into my life and showed me they cared about my future. With their support, I accomplished the seemingly impossible: I graduated from high school. Even more amazing, I was on my way to college. At CSUSM, ACE Scholars Services continued to provide me with emotional support, resources, a safe and a quiet place to study, and a community that understood me and only wanted one thing -- for me to succeed. ACE has offered me an opportunity to focus on my studies, employment readiness skills and a part-time job to help me prepare for my future. That future looks bright as I prepare to graduate next year with my bachelor's in business management and human resources." -- Daniel

ACE Scholars Services’ mission is to empower youth impacted by foster care with the tools and support they need to transform their lives through higher education.
