CSUSM Giving Day 2019

CUGR

December 3, 2019 12:00am - 11:59pm

Research, scholarship and creative activity at CSUSM is carried out by hundreds of passionate undergraduate students, with the guidance and mentorship of our phenomenal faculty. Our campus prides itself on student involvement in activities that include scientific experiments conducted in a faculty member’s laboratory or classroom, applied service and outreach with community partners, and literature, visual and performing arts.

The Committee for Undergraduate Research (CUGR) is committed to encouraging faculty-undergraduate student collaborations via small grants, supporting student travel to conferences, recognizing outstanding undergraduate contributions through awards, and organizing symposia, talks, and performances for students to present their research, scholarship and creative activities.

This year, CUGR is calling on the CSUSM community of students, families, donors and community partners to help us establish a CUGR Endowment Award to support exceptional undergraduate students as active researchers. The CUGR Endowment Award will fund undergraduates performing research and creative activities, allowing them to engage in hands-on enrichment experiences. Endowed undergraduates will be provided one-on-one mentorship with a faculty member, participate in career relevant projects, and present their research and creative activities at the fall or spring CSUSM research symposium.

Together with our dedicated faculty mentors, CUGR Endowment Awards will help students from CSUSM reach their fullest potential.
