The mission of Mindful CSUSM is to provide support to students, faculty, staff and the community through contemplative practices that foster deep learning, reduced stress, increased capacity for compassionate listening and increased well-being. Our vision is to help create a more compassionate and socially just campus community by providing tools to all members of the community to thrive and work together in harmony.

Contemplative practices teach us how to be present and approach ourselves and others with kindness and curiosity, with an open heart and an open mind, without judgment. Recent studies have shown that contemplative practices can reduce stress, anxiety and emotional reactivity, while improving concentration and academic performance among students across a broad range of domains.
