I'm raising money for Cure CMD!

Hi, I'm Jake, I’m a New York City native and longtime endurance athlete, and I'm absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to run in this year's TCS New York City Marathon for a great organization like Cure CMD. 

I’m running in honor of my good friend Chris Torrente, his niece Avery Roberts, and the entire congenital muscular dystrophy community. Chris was originally supposed to be out there running alongside me, but an injury has unfortunately taken him out of this year’s race. I’m proud to carry the torch for both of us and make every mile count for a cause that is so important to him and his family.

Cure CMD is working to advance research toward treatments while providing support and resources for people and families living with CMD. I’m incredibly excited to represent this community on the streets of my hometown and help Team Cure CMD reach its $100,000 fundraising goal.

Thank you for supporting me, Chris, Avery, and everyone affected by CMD. I’ll be thinking of all of you on race day. Let’s do this!
