Document. Resist. Transform.
Spring Youth Documentary Premiere & Benefit 2026

Rooted in solidarity. Rising in power.

Help us raise $20,000 by June 10 to keep this work alive and celebrate the students who make it happen.

This June 10, EVC students will premiere two original documentaries:

  1. Exposing attacks on cultural diversity, the erasure of histories, and harmful immigration policies

  2. Documenting barriers to workforce access for marginalized communities.

These films are made by young people living too close to these realities!

Our young producers document what power wants hidden. They research, question, and challenge systems designed to disadvantage their communities. And when the semester ends, they screen it publicly, stand behind it, and invite the audience and their communities to engage with these issues. This is joyful resistance and is what your gift makes possible!

Why it matters:

EVC provides NYC youth (BIPOC, queer, working-class, immigrant) with critical tools to share their stories through the lens of power and to look ahead to the future as they develop personal narratives aligned with their lived experiences through documentary filmmaking. In a moment when technology is weaponized against vulnerable communities, immigrant families face state-sponsored persecution, and funding for arts and youth spaces is under attack, our students pick up the camera!

And now they invite you to watch what they’ve filmed.

With one month to go, every gift counts and every share matters.

Alumni, board, donors, friends, and allies: this is your moment too. Donate. Share. Show up on June 10. Every dollar counts.

Be part of the community that makes this possible!
