We’re proud to take part in this year’s Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research, Anesthesiology Giving Competition (AGC) by raising funds to honor our colleague and mentor to many, Harvey Woehlck, MD.
In this year's AGC we will be Honoring Dr. Harvey Woehlck while supporting FAER and its mission to develop the next generation of physician scientists through its grants, scholarship and fellowships.
Dr. Woehlck is well known by every resident in training and every faculty in the MCW Department of Anesthesiology since he joined the faculty in 1988. He has a long track record of clinical and pre-clinical research, plus Harvey is one of the best-read people making him an expert in a broad range of topics. His "treatises" on controversial clinical topics are famous for their astute interpretation of scientific data and their addition to our understanding of nuances of our clinical practice. His additional contributions to writing mock oral exams and the "daily questions" are particularly meaningful. His leadership in the liver transplant service has impacted learning and patient outcomes. Please consider a donation to the FAER AGC to honor Dr. Harvey Woehlck.
We know the critical importance research represents to our field – research that wouldn’t be possible without ensuring a steady inflow of researchers into the specialty ready to move anesthesiology and medicine forward.
