We’re proud to take part in this year’s Anesthesiology Giving Competition (AGC). We’re in it to WIN!
And, most importantly, to raise funds supporting the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) and its grantees, scholars, and fellows!
We all know the critical importance research represents to our field – research that wouldn’t be possible without ensuring a steady inflow of researchers into the specialty ready to move anesthesiology and medicine forward.
In pursuit of that goal, every year FAER awards over $2.5 million in grants and sponsors more than 100 student fellows and resident scholars!
To help the cause, our illustrious Department Chair, Dr. Michael Gropper, will contribute $5,000 once we reach $10,000 in giving. And that's not all! Our very own Vice-Chair of Research, Dr. Judith Hellman, will contribute an additional $5,000 once we reach $20,000 in giving!
Give to support the future of our field and the researchers who will lead us there! Give to support FAER and its mission! And give to help us take home the gold! We’re aiming to win:

Everyone who donates on behalf of UCSF will also be entered into a drawing to win one of the following items:
- Grand prize: a nice dinner with your choice of team captain

- A FAER-themed item of the winner’s choice (i.e., t-shirt, mug, tote bag, zip pouch, or journal, up to $30 value, 10 winners total).
- 2 bottles of Ridge wine, one for resident donors, one for non-resident donors
Every dollar raised will support FAER’s work to nurture anesthesiology’s physician-investigators. Every donation, no matter the amount, is truly meaningful.
