The Wheaton Franciscan community is joining Catholic Sisters of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious in a collaborative effort to serve persons in need and bring much needed awareness to the current increase in food insecurity and underlying causes, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, poverty, unemployment/under-employment, and inconsistent access to healthy food.
Our neighbors are hurting! We are asking YOU to join us as we raise funds to help solve hunger in Northern Illinois.
The Food Bank has been responding to the increased need in our communities since mid-March 2020. In June through September 2020, they provided 9M meals monthly, an increase of 3M meals per month from last year at this time.
Please join us in making a difference in the lives of the thousands of people in Northern Illinois who are hungry. The funds we raise will stay right here, in our backyard, and will fill an empty plate of a neighbor in need.
Your Donation Makes an Impact:
+ Every $1 donated helps provide $8 worth of groceries for neighbors in need
+ 96% of the Food Bank's resources go to programs that feed neighbors in need
+ The Food Bank serves 13 counties in Northern Illinois, providing the equivalent of nearly 220,000 meals each day
Please consider supporting our efforts with a donation that will build hope for a family in our community! Every donation makes a difference.
