At the SPCA, our mission is clear and unwavering: to create a more compassionate community where animals are cherished and protected, where cruelty is not tolerated, and where every animal has the chance to live the life they deserve. That work takes many forms—rescue, rehabilitation, education, outreach, adoption, cruelty investigations. You help us answer the call—sometimes quite literally—when an animal is in distress and needs someone to step in. You help us provide a safe shelter for homeless pets, often scared and unsure of what comes next. You help us bring veterinary care to animals who’ve never known kindness. And you help us ensure that no animal is forgotten, left behind, or treated as anything less than worthy of love. Every year, our programs support, touch, and enrich the lives of over 20,000 local animals!

We do all of this while remaining an independent, non-profit organization—receiving no government funding and not affiliated with national organizations. That means every gift, every dollar, every show of support has a direct and lasting impact right here, in our backyard.
