On April 25th, I am traveling to Philadelphia to run in honor of my aunt, Jodie Milkman. I'll be joined by friends and family, who, like me, have lost someone incredibly special to ovarian cancer. My aunt had a rare gift. She always saw the potential and successes in my life before I could see them myself. She believed in me during moments when I struggled to believe in myself, and she made everyone around her feel truly valued and deeply important. For that, I am eternally grateful. In her memory, we are running not only to honor her life, but to help build a future where fewer families have to experience this kind of loss.
