For Laney

Many of you making your way to this site know Laney’s story. For those that don’t, Laney is our youngest daughter. She was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in February 2015 and went through several rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. The transplant was a success and the results showed no evidence of cancer cells in her body, but in the spring of 2016 she relapsed. More chemotherapy treatments were attempted and a couple more experimental treatments were used, but her cells had mutated and were no longer responding to treatments. Laney took her last breath on this earth on November 29th, 2016 and is now in Heaven. Throughout her entire battle she smiled and faced every challenge head-on. She had a fierce warrior spirit and even on her worst day she never wanted to sit still. I am running this marathon in her honor and in her unrelenting spirit.

Please help me raise money in her honor. The funds donated through this site will directly benefit the Cancer Kids Fund at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, which is a major help to the children and families facing this horrible disease.
