From the couch to the open road.  Am I crazy?  Probably.  I never would have imagined that I would be running a marathon, but here I am all signed up to run Grandma's Marathon on June 16, 2018.  This all started when my family was contacted by Children's MN with the opportunity to run the marathon in hopes to raise money for the Cancer Kids Fund at their hospital.  Children's has played a big role in our lives and we were blessed many times by this fund.  The Cancer Kids Fund supports families of children with cancer by helping them with so many burdens; from meals and parking to paying bills.  This is an incredible way for me to help raise money to support them and the families they are so graciously caring for.  The biggest and most important reason for my decision is my baby girl.  Laney lived her life with so much faith, courage and strength.  No matter what challenges she faced she did it with grace and determination and I strive to be just like her!  I am scared to do this insane event, but I know that I can do it if I continue to press on just like she did.  I am running to honor my precious baby and to continue to teach myself how to keep going forward; one step at a time.  Will you help me?  Any donation, no matter how big or small is appreciated.  Please don't do it to support me, but to honor Laneybug and to support all the beautiful families that deal with challenges greater than this each day.  Thank you!
