This year I’m really excited because the 2019 NAMI Connecticut Awareness and Fundraising Walk will occur not just in Hartford, where it’s always been held, but, for the first time, in our own Fairfield County.  Our Fairfield County event will occur in Westport’s Sherwood Island State Park.  It will occur on Saturday, May 18, the same day as the Hartford event, with registration starting at 9:00 a.m.

NAMI Connecticut – and our affiliate, NAMI Southwest CT – continue to offer the support and educational programs that are so beneficial to people living successfully with mental illness and their families.  One example is NAMI Homefront, a free, six-session education program for family, friends and significant others of Military Service Members and Veterans with behavioral and mental health conditions.

Your donation will help to maintain all these programs, and this year, because our affiliate has fielded at least three Walk teams, HALF your donation will go directly to NAMI Southwest CT.  It will be a Fairfield County Walk with Fairfield County benefits!
