June 30, 2009 my mom passed away from stage 4 glioblastoma multiforme. About 4 months after my mom passed away UC Health had their very first Brain Tumor Walk. It came at a time we were all feeling pretty helpless and lost. We created a team, Denise's Dance, at the last minute and made up some fantastic team shirts and signs. We vowed to come together each year and continue on our tradition of Denise's Dance! Last year, there were over 70 people who were there as brain tumor survivors. There have been so many advances and growth over the last 14 years and all of the money they have raised definitely contributed to that.
