Just when you think you know Virginia.... You find out you didn't know her!
Virginia didn't know herself!
This is my first ever open water swim (yikes!) But I have been training with Ithaca YMCA Masters Swimming for the past six months and we have a team. It's going to be fun and inspiring to swim with other cool women for a great cause!
And it happens to take place on my mom's birthday, August 10.
I am swimming in memory of my mom, Joy Cole, and my grandmother, Virginia Steinberg. Both benefited from hospice services (for which the family has immense gratitude) at different times and different places.
