My Personal Fundraising Page

In March 2024 I lost one of my biggest fans. My stepdad, Jim, was amazed that I could swim across the lake, but he also talked about my strength and endurance with complete confidence. Jim loved life and found joy and wonder in most things. One of his favorite things to do in the summer was float in Cayuga Lake with me and my kids. I learned so many lessons from Jim. He taught me how to parallel park like a boss, that relationships are more important than anything, and to try everything with a “what’s the worst that could happen” approach. This will be the first time I swim across during this event where he won’t physically be at the end to say how proud he is of me, but I know he’ll be right there with me the whole time in spirit. This year I’m swimming for Jimmy.
