Why I swim.

Hi family and friends!

This is my 9th year participating in Women Swimmin' for Hospicare to raise much-needed funds for their organization. Like so many of the swimmers on the lake, I swim for family and friends who have passed away. Hospicare has given those I love the warmth, support, compassion and care they needed at the end of their lives and this is my way to give back. Last month my Uncle Tom, who was battling a brain tumor, passed away. Hospice was once again there to help my family through the difficult time. The pain of his loss is so raw and overwhelming. This year I will be swimming for him and will let all the wonderful memories of him and others I have lost carry me across the lake.  

I am proud to participate in this event and hope you can join me in supporting Hospicare's work by making a donation.
