Hey friends, family, and all-around awesome humans,

This year, Shelby (my fearless 14-year-old daughter) and I are teaming up with Degree33 Surfboards to tackle the 100 Wave Challenge at Mission Beach on Saturday, September 28th. That’s right — we’re aiming to catch 100 waves in one day!

Why? Because we want to raise funds and awareness for Boys to Men Mentoring — a nonprofit helping fatherless, at-risk, and disconnected teenage boys in San Diego. Through consistent group mentoring, they provide encouragement, accountability, and a community of support that helps these young men reach their fullest potential.

I’ve done this challenge before, but this year is extra special because Shelby’s joining me. We’ll be paddling, wiping out, high-fiving strangers, and riding wave after wave to make an impact. Every donation — big or small — helps connect these young men with the mentors they need.
