Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester - Official Charity Partner

Located in the heart of Boston's inner city, Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester (BGCD) is a nationally recognized youth development organization that has provided life-enhancing programs and opportunities to at-risk youth for nearly 50 years. At BGCD, inclusion and accessibility are priorities. Our commitment to inclusion is evident through our award-winning Project BIND (Boston Inclusion Network for Disabilities) initiative. Project BIND is not a single program or activity; it is a core value that informs our programs, guides our staff, and supports at-risk youth. We create an environment where every child can participate.

BGCD has been partnering for several years with the Flutie Foundation. Together, we ensure that children with autism in our community are welcomed and included in over 200 high-quality afterschool programs. We also offer tailored programs that teach social skills, self-help, daily living skills, self-advocacy and problem solving. As always, members pay only $5 a year to participate. With thoughtful supports and adaptations, youth of all abilities can access a variety of programs, receive a paid on-site job, explore opportunities, develop skills, build confidence, form friendships, and feel connected to their community.

This is our first year participating in the Flutie 5k and we’re so excited to get started! The race gives us a fun opportunity to come together in support of our mission. 100% of the proceeds raised will go directly to BGCD and Project BIND programming. We welcome all BGCD staff, alumni, parents, friends and supporters to join our team or make a donation to help us raise critical funds for Dorchester’s youth.
