I met Michaela and Pat through our friend and next door neighbor soon after their move to Richmond. Michaela and I quickly befriended one another through book club, Moms Demand Action, and mutual friends from our church! Michaela is a loving, understanding, transparent and hard-working momma. This 5k coincides with Kenji's 5th birthday, which reinforces my beliefs that an entire village should do as much as we can to nurture, love, heal, protect and lean on one another to raise the next generation. Please read her story below and donate to support our TEAM HENRY!!!! 

From Michaela: Henry was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia in March of 2023. Henry underwent several months of frontline treatment and in November reached maintenance, the final phase of treatment. He is feeling great and we're enjoying seeing him grow and thrive despite the challenges of this year.

ASK has been supporting our family since we began this process. From providing regular gift cards for groceries and gas, to organizing fun events, to showering Henry in gifts at his birthday and Christmas, they've been with us every step. We so appreciate the support of ASK staff in clinic and in the community.
