Willow is the sweetest, sassiest most beautiful 3 year old. Her smile is contagious! No child should ever have to fight cancer once but this is Willow's second time. Her first diagnosis of a germ cell tumor was in 2023. She had surgery to remove that and went through chemo and rang that cancer free bell! Oh what a beautiful day that was. She had to have routine scans and bloodwork to make sure it stayed gone and all was great until it wasn't. February 2024 her scans were great but that one time her bloodwork was elevated, devastating us all once again. We prayed it was wrong and that this baby would not have to endure this again. Unfortunately the germ cell tumor was back and this time another surgery would be required to remove it and on top of that an AGGRESSIVE chemo treatment and stem cell recovery! She did so well with the treatment last year that we were not ready for what was/is to come. The Aggressive treatment is taking its toll on her, she is lethargic, throwing up and doesn't want to eat. This is only the beginning she won't be done until the end of May. No parent or loved one should ever have to watch anyone fight this battle but here we are and we don't get a choice in the matter.
