As some of you know, our great-nephew Hudson has had an incredibly challenging 6 months. Diagnosed with stage 2 Wilms Tumor in November, nodules were found on his lungs in January, despite the chemo regimen, thus stage 4. After even harsher chemo, he qualified for proton radiation treatment which ended April 3rd. We were happy to be there cheering him on as he rang the bell at Sibley. While the radiation targeted the nodules and his lungs are now clear, he still has weeks of chemo ahead and a long journey to recovery. With recent federal funding cuts in cancer research, public support is that much more important to help all kids, current and future.
