Hi, my name is Josh Fitzgerald. I'm a third year rider, and second year team leader with Biking for Babies (B4B)! I was born into a big Catholic homeschool family and raised in the Chicago suburbs. Professionally I'm an Assistant Project Manager for mission critical commercial electric construction. In my free time you'll find me riding my bike, getting involved with local Catholic young adult groups, and traveling.
Through my time as a rider on team WI 2024 and a rider team leader on team MI 2025, I've fallen in love with the Biking for Babies mission. It's a unique opportunity to use my love of cycling to serve some of the most vulnerable in our society; women and families facing crisis pregnancy. This cause is close to my heart because I've witnessed it firsthand in my own family. I've seen some of the challenges that come with that journey and how important it is for a woman to have support and help through it. For many, this support is found in the pregnancy resource centers (PRCs) we partner with. They offer pre-natal care, parenting classes, crisis housing, baby supplies, and more! I've gotten to hear so many amazing stories about lives saved and families made whole through the help of our PRC partners. Alongside this great work, I've learned so much about kindness, sacrafice, leadership, and how the unexpected can be a great blessing.
