I'm Chris Torrente, and I'm running the 2026 NYC Marathon to support Cure CMD, an organization dedicated to finding treatments and a cure for congenital muscular dystrophy (CMD).
My niece, Avery, lives with COL6-CMD, and I'm proud to support her and Cure CMD by running this race. This will be my 15th time participating in the NYC Marathon, and I'm aiming to raise $3,000 to fund critical research and provide much-needed resources for CMD families.
Thank you for being part of this journey and for supporting an important cause.
