The UNC Department of Anesthesiology is excited to take part in this year’s Anesthesiology Giving Competition (AGC) to raise funds supporting the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER)! Every year, FAER awards over $2.5 million in grants and sponsors more than 100 student fellows and resident scholars!
Research is of critical importance to continue advancing the field of anesthesiology and provide the best care possible for our patients. These resources fund early-career anesthesiologists and trainee research through Research and Education Grants and Medical Student Research Fellowships. These resources are crucial to ensuring a steady inflow of researchers into the specialty. In fact, 4 members of our department have been awarded one of these grants over the years, and we need more awardees in the future!
Every donation, no matter the amount, is truly meaningful. We are profoundly grateful for your generosity!
We are competing against other anesthesiology departments across the nation to raise the most funds, and we’re in it to WIN!
As incentives, in addition to bragging rights, the winning department will receive a FAER-funded get-together. All donors of our department will also be will be entered into an internal raffle.
Raffle items include gift cards to Merritt's Grill ($40), Brixx Wood Fired Pizza ($50), Eastcut Sandwich Bar ($50), La Vita Dolce coffee shop ($25), an individual tennis lesson (with Tennis Pro Quentin Guichard), a free month gym membership at COR4 Fitness, 4 season tickets to NC Courage National Women's Soccer League during their 2027 season (thank you Dr. Bridget Marroquin).
