The Walkathon is back! On October 31st we will be walking to raise money for our athletic field. As you might know, Lutheran High School recently got a new astroturf field for soccer and football as well as a new track. This last soccer season we benefited greatly from the new field. We were able to practice after it had rained all day and with an astroturf field we were able to play a faster game to better compete with other schools. Being able to play on the new field is amazing, we are now able to focus on playing soccer rather than trying not to step in holes and twist our ankles. As a junior, it is so nice to know that no more of our games will be canceled because our field is in such bad shape. I am proud to be a Saint when I walk out on the field. As you might know last year we held a walkathon and raised $12,000 for our new field, this year our goal is $11,00. I'm looking for small donations of $2, $5, or $10 (or more if you are willing). Every little bit helps so please give as much as you feel called to do. If everyone in the school can raise $50 we can easily reach our goal so every little bit counts.
