Here's my plan:
I wish I could get to the North Shore Packathon for Haiti on October 21,22,23 to help pack lunches for school children in St. Louis d'Ayiti. We plan to provide a full-year lunch program for more than 200 kids in the Light and Peace School there, way out in the remote mountaints of Haiti. Packathon volunteers will form assembly lines in the Parish Hall and courtyard at Christ Church of Hamilton and Wenham to pack over 100,000 meals for them.
I want to make sure those Haitian kids can count on lunch every weekday next school year, beginning January 1, 2022
On average, every volunteer packs a box of 240 lunches. If you go, your box will hold $72 dollars worth of rice, beans, vegetables and vitamins, enough to feed one student for a year. So my goal is to raise over $500 to feed the entire 6th grade for a year. Will you help? Together, we really can make a difference!
