• Political turmoil has made Haiti so dangerous, I could not visit this year. We sure hope to be able to go in 2020.
• Only 60% of adults can read at a 6th grade level.
• Their government does not provide school to rural communities.
• The average income is $350 per year.
• Some children cannot count of even one meal a day.

Here's my plan:

I'm going to Teaneck Packathon for Haiti on November 9 to help pack lunches for school children there. We plan to provide a full-year lunch program for 500 kids in two remote Haitian schools.  About 700 volunteers will work at Grace Lutheran Church in Teaneck to pack 123,000 meals to be served in the schools in Trois Mares and Chapottin, Haiti. Our meals will be served 4 days a week. For the other day, we want to fund Haitian-sourced lunches to support farms and businesses there.  I've been particularly watching the kids in Trois Mares, and I want to make sure they can count on lunch every weekday through 2020. 

My goal is to raise over $500 to actually pay for the food for several volunteers to packl Would you Donate Now to help me and my team reach our goal? Together, we really can make a difference for "our kids" in Haiti!
