UPDATE (November 6): Wow! Thanks to your early generosity, I met my initial goal of $1,000 in only a couple of days. I've now upped it to $2,000 and am hoping to reach this amount by the end of my day of silence on November 14. All funds go to the animals :)

I'm honoured to lead Animal Justice as the organization's executive director. For the last year, we've been leading the fight against a chilling new threat to animals in Canada—"ag gag" (agricultural gag) laws, which make it illegal to expose animal abuse & neglect on farms. 

Nothing scares the meat industry quite so much as the truth. That's why they're fighting so hard to make sure hidden-camera footage can never be aired on the nightly news. I think ag gag laws are one of the biggest threats facing animals today, as they make it impossible to inform the public about the staggering degree of suffering systemic in the meat industry. We can't let them stand.

But we have justice, morality, and the law on our side. Animal Justice is gearing up to challenge existing ag gag laws in court, and we'll work across the country to block the meat industry from passing more of these draconian laws that reduce transparency, threaten animals, and endanger the public.
