I'm a former veterinary technician, a lover of all animals, and an advocate for the cause! Rescuing my first Pitbull 6 years ago, I don't know how I ever did life without her! And sadly, this is the breed most often dumped and left behind to find their way. A large pool of them wind up at the Humane Society. And of the near 80 kennels the Humane Society holds, most all of these dogs WILL find their fur-ever families! Because of the dedicated staff, determined to educate, Pitbull's find their way into the arms of loving owners. With your support, maybe we can educate more, clear the kennels faster, and continue providing care for the many homeless animals in search of their forever homes.

For over 33 years, the Walk for the Animals has served as the Humane Society of Broward County's largest annual fundraiser. By donating to the Walk, you are helping thousands of animals that come through their doors each year. Every dollar supports them as they provide veterinary care, food, shelter and much much more to every animal they see.
