Tara was diagnosed with cancer in June last year. At her age, we opted to not risk putting her under anesthesia. The tumor is a stage 3 sarcoma that tends to metastasize quickly. We chose to let her live out her life being happy and enjoying every moment - hence this photo on a vacation just for her. We are not making her spend her time stressed out by multiple doctors, vet visits and undergoing chemotherapy. We do have her on a sizable regimen of vitamins, supplements and herbal treatments proven to prolong the spread. I am very fortunate to be able to say that she is still extremely happy, playful and loving. We know we are on borrowed time but recognize just how much dogs truly make a home and are our family. Every dog deserves a safe home and loving family! Lets work to end the pet homelessness in our county and help the good folks continue the fight at HSBC.
