Dear Friends,
"Go the Distance" is the part of Women Swimmin' for people who can't or won't swim 1.2 miles across the lake on Swim Day but who want to raise funds for Hospicare anyway. You have to come up with something you're going to do OTHER than swim across the lake.
My thing? In June, July, and until August 10, I am going publish as many stories, poems, and essays as I can manage to write on my Substack, Emily Writes Back!

What is SO GREAT about Hopicare? It's the nurses and aides and chaplains and social workers and volunteers who are with you and your family when you are experiencing a life-limiting illness and nearing the end of life. They are calm, incredibly compassionate, helpful, informative, patient, and loving. People who experience Hospicare's work are often so grateful they send in beautiful letters of thanks and appreciation. I know because they all end up on my desk!
