Thank you for visiting my page! I am proud to be Going the Distance as part of Team Lanternfish (comprised of my fellow Hospicare employees). This summer, I'll be hitting the trails, exploring at least one new trail per week until event day! 

My first encounter with Women Swimmin' was when I received a book called "365 Things To Do in Ithaca" as a high school graduation gift, where Women Swimmin' was noted as a beloved community event. I forgot about this entry until I interviewed with Hospicare for an internship in December 2021. Since joining the Hospicare team as an intern, and eventually as a full-time employee, I have been in awe of the work Hospicare provides to Tompkins and Cortland counties. But, I have been even more inspired by the incredible, supportive community Hospicare has built. I could not live in a better community!

I am Going the Distance...

• in memory of my relatives -- especially my grandparents Joan, Ann, Ray Sr., Geri, and Jean.
• to support the essential care that Hospicare gives, especially supporting our healthcare team. My sister, Annabelle, has shown me how strong our nurses and healthcare staff are. She inspires me to continue the work I do :-)
• because of everyone who came before me to create and strengthen this incredible community event!
