For the 4th consecqutive year I'm competing in the 100 Wave Challenge for Boys to Men to bring positive male mentorship to hundreds of young men in San Diego County. 

Boys to Men Mentoring is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization faciliating consistent group mentoring for hundreds of fatherless, at-risk and disconnected teenage boys in San Diego County and they have 30 chapters around the globe. Locally, BTM serves over 850 boys with the support of 36 school and community partners across the county.

Due to COVID-19, Boys to Men has been working tirelessly to keep the boys connected to their mentors. In April, Boys to Men created a weekly virtual mentoring program and are also working with all of their school partners to reestablish and reach more teens this Fall. 

There is nothing more powerful than giving a person a community of support and the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. I hope to do that again this year by catching 100 waves in one day to raise money and awareness for Boys to Men.  It's exhausting, as it takes me about 6.5 hours to do this so donate online and come on down to Cardiff on Oct 3rd to help me ring the gong when I'm done.  I likely won't be able to move my arms...Ha, Ha!
