The NEC Society is the world’s leading nonprofit organization dedicated to building a world where no family has to endure the devastation of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). We’re led by a global community of patient-families, clinicians, and scientists.

May is NEC Awareness Month, and May 17 is NEC Awareness Day. This year, it's our goal to raise $150,000 to support the world’s first NEC Family Summit. By bringing families together in person, we will build the relationships, trust, and strategies needed to propel our mission. Together, we are creating a space where families impacted by NEC can collaborate and transform their pain into power and action.

Jenn & Noah are fundraising for a world without NEC in honor of their son, Micah, who tragically passed away from complications of the disease just before his first birthday. Today, Micah's twin brother, Zachary, is a thriving 8th grader, and Micah should be too. Jenn founded the NEC Society after the tragic loss of Micah.

Join Shannan and Casey in building a world without NEC in honor of their son, Cash, who tragically passed away from NEC. Every year, they host an event to raise funds and spread awareness about the urgent need to advance NEC research, education, and advocacy. Shannan served on the NEC Society Patient-Family Advisory Council and now serves on the Board of Directors.
