I said goodbye to my beautiful, sweet, funny friend Joy Divine in August 2023. Joy lived life to the fullest with Stage 4 lung cancer for 8 years. She was only 46 years old. We are partnering with Pam Warren who also lost her husband, Jim to lung cancer in April 2022 after only 2 short years. Jim and Joy were neighbors. Both were non-smokers. We all feel that the most impactful way to honor the beautiful memory of Jim and Joy is to continue sharing their stories and to raise awareness and funds. The Lung Cancer Initiative of NC supports advocacy, education, patient and caregiver support and research for patients with lung cancer right here in NC.
