2025 VCA Walk for the Animals

Thank you for visiting my Walk for the Animals fundraising page!

For over 34 years, the Walk for the Animals has served as the Humane Society of Broward County's largest annual fundraiser. By donating to the Walk, you are helping the HSBC provide not only care for homeless animals, but services and educational outreach for our community.

Because of the generous support from our community, in 2024, the HSBC was able to:

Adopt 4,372 pets including 118 Military Adoptions, 119 Senior Scholarships and even 9 Out-of-State Adoptions (NV, CA ,MI, IA, TN, GA, VA, MD)!
Return 181 lost pets to their owners, sent 54 dogs and cats to rescue groups for a total of 4,607 lives saved!
Transport in 1,132 dogs and 378 cats from rural shelters located throughout Florida and Puerto Rico, saving a total of 1,510 animals from possible euthanasia
Provide a low-cost vaccine clinic for our community which serviced 13,673 dogs and cats
Perform approximately 2,500 low-costs spay/neuter surgeries for the community
Treat 170 heartworm positive dogs to clear them from this fatal parasitic infection
Run a mobile clinic and food pantry every other month with Street Dog Coalition to provide services and food for almost 1,000 animals owned by our unhoused community
Provide affordable Puppy Pre-School and Basic Obedience Classes for our Community
Conduct an Animal Assisted Therapy Program which makes regular visits to 21 facilities in South Florida including senior facilities, rehabilitation facilities, mental health facilities and hospitals.
Operate an Education Department which provides programs that educate children, teens and adults such as Kids Clubs, Teen Clubs, Friends of Animals Club, Pawsitive Service Days, Shelter Tours, Spring & Summer Camps, Career Day Presentations, School Presentations and Birthday Parties
And much, much more!
