Guitar Hanna

Welcome to My Personal Fundraising Page!

I am so excited to raise money for Sparrow Clubs through my participation in Dancing with the Central Oregon Stars! Donating to my page will not only help me compete for the Shining Star Award (most money raised), it will also help Sparrow Clubs continue to impact thousands of students with compassion by empowering them to help local families with children in medical need. Your support means so much to me and to Sparrow Clubs! Click the "Donate Now" button to become one of my supporters! Be sure to get your tickets to the show on October 17th to see me and the rest of our incredible cast in action! Thank you for cheering me on!

What is Sparrow Clubs?

About Me!

Guitar Hanna.pngGuitar—yes, folks, she was named after a musical instrument—is an Egyptian American who shares life with her husband, three daughters, and one very lucky dog. Together, they’ve become a globe-trotting family, exploring twenty countries over the past sixteen years. By day, Guitar is a child abuse pediatrician, caring for children who have experienced maltreatment and helping educate communities on how to recognize and prevent abuse. Her work is serious, meaningful, and deeply rooted in her commitment to protecting children. When she’s not caring for kids, Guitar has a habit of saying “yes” to adventure. Whether skydiving in California, bungee jumping in Ecuador, or spending a month studying aerospace medicine with NASA, she rarely turns down an opportunity to try something new. Yet somehow, stepping onto a dance floor in front of a crowd feels far more terrifying. Perhaps it’s only fitting that someone named Guitar loves to dance. Known for enthusiastically busting out moves that make her family collectively cringe, she’s excited to trade her living room dance floor for the stage. Guitar is honored to participate in Dancing with the Central Oregon Stars, helping raise awareness and support for the incredible children and families served by Sparrow Clubs.

About my Hip Hop Coach!

Alex Reininger.pngAlex Reininger is a dancer, choreographer, roller skater, figure skating coach, and movement educator based in Bend, Oregon. A Central Oregon native, she is the founder of Mindful Motion, a movement practice dedicated to helping people build confidence, connection, and joy through dance, skating, and mindful movement. With over 15 years of formal dance training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop, Alex teaches weekly beginner line dance lessons at The Coyote and coaches roller skating and figure skating through Bend Park & Recreation District at The Pavilion. She also performs with Grand Ballet Academy, founded Roller Skaters of Central Oregon, and proudly works alongside her family at Leapin’ Lizards Toy Company, a local business that has served the Central Oregon community for decades. After coaching Team Love in Motion in her debut season as a Pro Hip Hop Coach for Dancing with the Central Oregon Stars last year, Alex is honored to return for a second season. Growing up in Central Oregon has given her a deep appreciation for this community, and she is grateful for the opportunity to support Sparrow Clubs by using movement to bring people together in service of local children and families.
