What is Sparrow Clubs?
About Me!
Lindsey is the life of the party, dances Zumba weekly, has all 10 toes, AND both right and left feet, making her the perfect candidate for this dancing competition! She’s guaranteed to make you smile like the first sip of Diet Coke on a hot summer afternoon. Her philosophy is simple: life is more fun when you don’t take yourself too seriously. Whether she’s playing cards with family, singing loud in stores, wearing costumes for spirit days, or volunteering as a youth leader at Westside Church, she brings carefree, youthful energy wherever she goes. For 14 years, Lindsey has loved being the Office Manager at Mountain View High School. Her role includes countless responsibilities, but at its heart she helps organize the daily chaos by supporting the admin team, answering 1.2 million questions, and by making announcements over the intercom (secretly fulfilling childhood dreams of being a radio host.) The greatest joy in Lindsey’s life is her family. This summer, she and her best friend/husband, Mike, celebrate 20 years of marriage. Together they are raising two curious, kind, and adventurous children, Camilla and Asher. This fall Asher will begin sixth grade through homeschooling with Mike, while Camilla starts an exciting new chapter as a freshman at MVHS. Through her work at MVHS, Lindsey has seen firsthand the impact of Sparrow Clubs’s mission of empowering kids to help kids. She believes strongly in teaching young people the power of compassion and is excited to support Sparrow Clubs by dancing her heart out for a great cause.
About my Hip Hop Coach!
Alex Reininger is a dancer, choreographer, roller skater, figure skating coach, and movement educator based in Bend, Oregon. A Central Oregon native, she is the founder of Mindful Motion, a movement practice dedicated to helping people build confidence, connection, and joy through dance, skating, and mindful movement. With over 15 years of formal dance training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop, Alex teaches weekly beginner line dance lessons at The Coyote and coaches roller skating and figure skating through Bend Park & Recreation District at The Pavilion. She also performs with Grand Ballet Academy, founded Roller Skaters of Central Oregon, and proudly works alongside her family at Leapin’ Lizards Toy Company, a local business that has served the Central Oregon community for decades. After coaching Team Love in Motion in her debut season as a Pro Hip Hop Coach for Dancing with the Central Oregon Stars last year, Alex is honored to return for a second season. Growing up in Central Oregon has given her a deep appreciation for this community, and she is grateful for the opportunity to support Sparrow Clubs by using movement to bring people together in service of local children and families.
