Welcome to My Personal Fundraising Page!

I am so excited to raise money for Sparrow Clubs through my participation in Dancing with the Central Oregon Stars! Donating to my page will not only help me compete for the Shining Star Award (most money raised), it will also help Sparrow Clubs continue to impact thousands of students with compassion by empowering them to help local families with children in medical need. Your support means so much to me and to Sparrow Clubs! Click the "Donate Now" button to become one of my supporters! Be sure to get your tickets to the show on October 17th to see me and the rest of our incredible cast in action! Thank you for cheering me on!

About Me!

Craig Bement.pngWhen the opportunity to participate in Dancing with the Central Oregon Stars came along, Craig figured it was time to do something he rarely does—step completely outside his comfort zone. Considering he can't dance, this is less of a step and more of a giant leap. At 60 years old, with a bum knee and questionable rhythm, what could possibly go wrong? Craig and his wife, Abby—his rock and biggest supporter—moved to Bend three years ago after spending 15 years making annual trips to visit family and enjoying everything Central Oregon has to offer. They quickly fell in love with the community and are proud to call it home. Between them, they have seven adult children and one very spoiled grandchild scattered from San Francisco to Portland. Two years ago, Craig joined the Hayden Homes family, where he transforms mountains of data into reports that help drive better decisions. When he's not crunching numbers, he and Abby stay busy running The Vibe Party Rentals, helping create unforgettable celebrations throughout Central Oregon. Craig is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to support such a wonderful cause. He can't wait to "entertain" everyone with his dance moves—or at least provide a few laughs—all while helping make a difference for children and families in our community.

About my Hip Hop Coach!

Shannon Abero Guerrro.pngShannon Abero Guerrero grew up in Northern CA and has been dancing for over 30 years She was inspired by music videos on MTV in the 80’s and loved emulating moves from Janet Jackson to Paula Abdul and more! Shannon didn’t receive formal training until Highschool, where she was on the Cheer, Drill and the Dance Teams. Her older brother, Brian, soon discovered Hip-hop and introduced her younger sister to a class - - the rest is History. After receiving her BA in Psychology at Cal State University of Long Beach, Shannon worked for an AIDS intervention organization for a year, while still dancing on the side. Her love and passion for dance soon became her livelihood after booking a dance agent in Los Angeles. Some of her credentials include: House of Blues, Nike, Memoirs of a Geisha, and The Ellen Show. She has toured with Asian singers and has taught internationally as well. After dancing professionally for a few years in Southern California, Shannon became a dance instructor in Santa Barbara California and currently teaches all across Central Oregon (at The Dance Connection, Sisters Dance Academy & Bend Parks & Rec) sharing her love of dance with all her students! This is her fifth year participating in a Sparrow Clubs fundraiser and she is beyond excited to once again be one of the Pro Hip-hop team coaches! She hopes to raise awareness of the amazing work that Sparrow Clubs of Central Oregon does for our youth!
