Over 85 Black and Brown scholars from Northwest Philly will spend 6 weeks this summer at Horizons at SCH. Scholars from under-resourced public schools return to Horizons for 9 consecutive summers to advance their literacy and math skills, build their futures and dreams, while changing the trajectory of their lives, their families, and their communities.

All tuition-free.

DPRN families, your children walk through these doors every day. I'm asking you to help open the same door for children right down the street. A donor has committed to match the first $2,500 raised from DPRN families. Every gift counts toward that total, and once we reach it together, the match unlocks sending 2 DPRN scholars from our community to a full summer at Horizons instead of 1.

CHA, Springside, and SCH Alumni of Color, you know better than anyone what it took to move through this campus. You also know what it would have meant to see more familiar faces here. Horizons is part of how we are shifting the atmosphere.

For anyone giving on this page, no amount is too small. $50 puts books in a scholar's hands. $150 sends them on field trips across Philly. $300 covers swim lessons.

Whatever you can put in adds up when we move together. That is what Ujima asks of us: collective work and responsibility for the children who are ours, whether they sit in our homes or two blocks over.
