I am proud to serve on the Board of Horizons at SCH Academy, and today is an important day for us: Horizons Giving Day! At Horizons, we aren't just providing a summer program — we are building a long-term support system that helps students thrive academically and personally.
Horizons at SCH will serve 90 scholars this summer, all from public schools in Northwest Philadelphia, ages 5 to 12/grades K-5.
Our original kindergartners from 2021 are now rising 6th graders! 9 of our first 14 scholars are still with us.
Horizons is tuition free for families and does not receive fiscal support from the school. We raise every dollar to support the organization; the summer experience — academics, swim instruction, meals, enrichment, plus our year-round family events that keep our community connected between summers.
