Dear Friends,

Many of you know this work is close to my heart. As parents, we invest deeply in access to strong academics, enrichment, and experiences for our children. We believe in the power of education. And we recognize deeply that all children deserve these opportunities, but not every child has access to it.

I’ve spent the last six years serving as Board Chair for Horizons at SCH because I’ve seen how powerfully this program works. Horizons is more than a summer program—it’s a long-term commitment to students, starting in early elementary school and continuing year after year. Horizons combines strong academics with joyful enrichment and deep relationships, helping students not just keep up, but truly thrive.

The results are real: students gain an average of 8+ weeks of academic growth each summer, attendance is consistently near 98%, and families return year after year.

Horizons also creates something special within our own community—meaningful volunteer opportunities for SCH students and real, lasting partnerships with neighboring public school families.

This summer, Horizons at SCH will serve 90 scholars from neighborhood Philadelphia public schools, completely tuition-free. I invest in this work because I believe in what it makes possible. If that resonates with you, I’d be so grateful if you would join me.
