Each summer at Horizons Atlanta at The Galloway School, we watch something powerful happen.

Students from underserved communities across Atlanta, in partnership with Atlanta Public Schools’ Scott Elementary, come to us as rising 1st through 8th graders — many with limited access to summer learning opportunities — and leave transformed.

Students who may have started the summer unsure of themselves leave standing taller. They strengthen their reading and math skills. Many learn to swim for the very first time. They try new things such as science experiments, art projects, and team sports. They explore Atlanta through field trips that open up new worlds. And then they come back the next summer. And the next.

Horizons is not just a six-week program. It is a long-term commitment to young people and their families. We grow alongside our students year after year, building skills, confidence, relationships, and a deep belief in what is possible for their futures. 

Families never pay tuition. Everything we offer, including academics, enrichment, swimming, meals, and transportation, is made possible by people like you who believe every child deserves access to joyful, high-quality learning.

•  $150 provides weekly field trips for one student

•  $300 provides one scholar with a summer of breakfast, lunch, and snacks

•  $500 for books and hands-on materials for a class of 15 scholars 

•  $750 supports a week of swim instruction for a class of 15 scholars 

•  $1,800 provides daily transportation for a class of 15 scholars 

• $2,800 sponsors one child’s full six-week summer experience
