Thank you for visiting our page for the Making Strides for Special Kids 5K Run/Walk!

We are participating in this event to raise funds for Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL), a cooperative educational system working with school districts throughout Lake County to serve students who are facing physical, emotional, and other learning challenges. These funds will be used to directly enrich the educational, vocational, and social opportunities for children with disabilities.

Donating to SEDOL and supporting our participation in this event is completely secure.  You can make a donation to our personal fundraising page, or participate in the event by joining our Autism Family Cares Team.  Our son Joey was diagnosed with autism when he was two years old (now 16), and Autism Family Cares has been a part of our lives for years for emotional and social support as we continue to navigate this journey.
