Hi Everyone! This cutie pie is Suzi!!
Suzi has been in foster with me since early March. She was a stray and thinks she should run and hide from lots of things in this big scary world. Dogs like Suzi are often overwhelmed at the shelter -- all those strange people and dogs around. In foster, she is able to learn how to live in a house, play with toys, and sleep soundly in a comfey bed!
I'm not sure what her mix is but she has the cutest merle coloring patterns; so maybe she's catahoula-whippet?
She loves going on walks and loves playing with my dog Ollie.
Fostering is an important opportunity to save dogs who need extra time to heal from medical procedures, who don't do well in the shelter, need some additional socializing, or who never had the chance to learn to just be a pet. In foster homes, these dogs learn how to love and trust humans, and most importantly get ready to be adopted! Through fostering we help animals that never would be given a chance at the loving life they deserve. This is important work that has helped the Humane Society of Huron Valley have such an extraordinary save rate.
