I'm swimming in honor of Jeffery Dobbin

I grew up swimming in Cayuga Lake and have even swum across it a few times, though it’s been many years. I've wanted to participate in Women Swimmin for years but always missed the registration deadline. This year feels particularly fitting because I personally experienced the incredible support of Hospicare.

In September 2023, I spent five long days by my love's side as he departed from this world. Jeffrey Dobbin passed away on September 17th, 2023. Watching the man I loved take his last breath was the hardest moment of my life. I am forever grateful to the Hospicare staff who supported us, treated Jeffrey with respect and kindness, and ensured he was comfortable.

I am humbled to swim in his honor and appreciate any donations for such a worthy cause.
