Hello! My name is Rachel Kuchnicki, and this is my second year serving as a Biking for Babies missionary. I’m honored to serve as a team leader for the Ohio West route after riding it last year. Outside of Biking for Babies, I work as a physician assistant in palliative and supportive medicine. In my free time, I enjoy crocheting and embracing my roots as a born-and-raised Pittsburgh “yinzer.”
My journey to this mission began during a season of spiritual, physical, and emotional struggle. I was searching for a purpose. Although biking 600 miles after ACL surgery with little (read: none) cycling experience felt impossible, God placed a call on my heart and invited me to say “yes.” I began to see parallels between my own doubts and the messages many women hear when facing unexpected pregnancies. Often our society meets women facing challenges with fear, limitation, and disbelief. I want to be part of a world that responds differently: with encouragement, dignity, and love.
What began as a challenge (and maybe a little stubbornness) became a transformative encounter with His love. During the national ride, I experienced a community that reflected Christ’s love in a powerful way, bringing healing and renewal into my life. This year, my mission is to share that same love with others, especially my team, walking with them as we grow closer to God and bear witness to the dignity of every human person. My hope is to bring Christ’s love to everyone I meet along the way.
Join me in Biking for Babies' mission by making a gift towards my fundraising campaign. Your gift supports our mission to renew the culture of life by forming young adult missionaries and raising awareness and funds for pregnancy resource centers that support pregnant women across the country.
