Every day on my drive to work I witness visible homelessness on my streets. I see people and families living in tents, makeshift shelters, RVs, campers, cars, or in many cases unsheltered environments. According to Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count, in 2018 there were nearly 53,000 homeless people in L.A. County. This year I am proud to be running the United Way HomeWalk 5k with Team Trojan to raise awareness and funds for eliminating homelessness.
